Elusive Lanky Creature Spotted Observing League Games From Cowen Park Tree Line

COWEN PARK, SEATTLE — Witnesses describe a lanky, unhurried creature that emerges only on Sundays, observes from the trees, and vanishes before anyone can get close enough to say anything to it.

Crocs tracks recovered Tuesday led investigators from the third base line directly to a residential shed one block west of the field, the same shed where the league stores its equipment. No signs of forced entry were found. The shed was, in fact, unlocked and neatly organized.

More puzzling is the fluid. At nearly every sighting, researchers have recovered containers of an unidentified white liquid, faintly cherry-scented, of no known commercial origin. Samples are pending analysis.

"He… it…. used to be around a lot more," said one longtime resident, who asked to remain anonymous because everyone knows exactly who he means. "Then one day it just went back into the woods. Nobody really knows why."

The creature has shown no aggression and appears to be maintaining a permanent range in the area. Residents are asked not to approach, feed, or attempt to un-retire it.

At press time, whereabouts of the lanky creature are unknown.
